After reading on my previous article on “China-dirty-tricks”, so how we counterstrike? In total I mentioned 9 tactics and I will explain each one on their counterstrike but you must first understand all 9 tactics theories before you continue reading.
“Delay 拖泥带水”, you will always get frustrated when your subordinate delaying your work on purpose and the only way to counterstrike is to get hold their weakness, example delaying their commission approval, ask more authority person to chase them through connection-and-relationship or through reward.
“Incapable 无能为力”, you could use soft or hard way in your counterstrike. Hard way give warning letter or penalty and soft way simply explain step by step in accomplish the task in front of everyone, hence giving him no excuse to say “don’t know”!
“Involvement 顺手牵羊”, this often happen in team work and the only way to be fair and justice to everyone is to set standard whereby their credits could be easily measured and determine, example using statistic or their working hours in participation.
“Deny 瞒天过海”, to expose their lies most effective way is to share and discuss their story with everyone and let others expose them instead by yourself, this is the soft way. Hard way is to collect all evidence and expose in front of everyone but this will has adverse effect in the future.
“Push 撒太极拳”, this often happens in office-politics and the only way to prevent is to set clearly and transparent to everyone on their responsibility giving them no loopholes in pushing their responsibility to others.
“Rumors 谣言惑众”, when your subordinate has better connection-and-relationship and the only way to counterstrike is to cultivate a trustworthy person to know in advance or being a representative to kill this rumors for you.
“Fictional 无中生有”, you must able to be scrupulous in separating public from private interests (公私分明) and you will not be easily fall into such trick, and often listen to others’ advice and through your experience before you judge otherwise you will indirectly create alot of innocent victims in future vengeance against you.
“Scapegoat 代罪羔羊”, this is a wisdom challenge and I would say only effective way is to understand deeply in company rules-and-regulations to prevent gray areas or loopholes expose for public attack. Every department must be monitored frequently on their performance and results therefore the only way to prevent is in advance preparation.
“Collateral 借刀杀人”, more protective way in counterstrike is to disallow too much authority and monetary involvement to your subordinate but balance them through equally distribution with others. Because such trick often is used by higher management in maintaining their authority and monetary involvement in corruption on one-sided approval, hence increasing more levels of approval will minimise such trick occurrence.
After knowing above counterstrikes I would say regardless on how smart or experience you have also hardly to avoid but only minimising the chance on their dirty tricks occurrence.
