China moving backwardIn the past 10 years China economic is blooming very fast in result invention and quality are neglected bringing in negative impact to China culture and competitive advantage!

In China history there are four great inventions (“Four_Great_Inventions_of_ancient_China“) which are compass, gunpowder, papermaking and printing technology in which helps in the development of world civilisation. But now after so many decades do you realise that China is moving backward and from good become worse. China is becoming stagnant in innovation, cutting down their production cost but only focusing on earning higher profit, less research and development but brainstorm alot in doing shoddy work and use inferior material, details could refer to “quality-purchase”. Another example, when you go karaoke do you find that you could only listen to old songs instead of new songs? So why most singer only prefer to sing old songs instead of new songs? Reason because nowadays songs not focusing on composing good or bad but focus on the singing star good-looking or not, very pathetic!

So why China is slowing down on their invention compare to their ancestor?

  1. Is it because less stress hence couldn’t pressurise Chinese in innovative idea? Example often too many people following a single task and require few people to supervise and monitoring, not productive and cost-saving.
  2. Or maybe Chinese mindset too concentrate on earning higher profit hence neglect on innovation that could benefit in long-term business like Apple and 3M?
  3. Is it because China business management still very outdated couldn’t catch with the Western business management? Typical example could you change China Communist Party to Democratic Party?
  4. Or maybe because of the China traditional culture and beliefs difficult to overwrite and eliminate in develop new culture and beliefs or change from the old ones? Very conservative instead open for discussion like family business only pass down to their descendant. (“family-business-saint”)
  5. Too much corruptions and dirty tricks (“dirty-tricks”) hence suppress those hidden and potential Chinese inventor to cultivate and harvest their idea to more civilisation? Why China government encourage environmental protection and till now still remain stagnant, only one reason too much corruptions cheating government to bump in more funds!

You may thinks that 2008 Olympics and Shanghai Expo are typical examples on China inventions? Is it true? All these technology are not new but because China has the capital to introduce and build it to show to the World that China is rich and powerful, all because of 2 words “Show off”!
